Antique Picnics have opened a unit at the Lincoln Antiques Centre

Antique Picnics specialises in original early motoring picnic sets, dating back over 100 years. These fascinating pieces range from simple “tea baskets” containing just the essentials for brewing up on the road, to full luncheon sets for six, complete with plates, cutlery, glassware, food tins, and napkins. Housed in wicker, leather, or Rexine cases, many still include the ingenious kettle and spirit burner that allowed motorists to carry water, boil it, and brew tea wherever they stopped. Both practical and collectable, these sets remain a charming reminder of a bygone motoring age—and many can still be used today.
